The action kicks off on Friday February 20 when Warrington Wolves, the third highest ranked team in Super League this year, play St George-Illawarra at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, a match that is likely to see ex-Wolves favourite and England forward Mike Cooper go up against his old club for the first time.

On Saturday the runners-up from Saturday’s Super League Grand Final will host Brisbane Broncos, who have twice been crowned World Club champions.

The drama will reach a thrilling climax on Sunday February 22 with the 2014 World Club Challenge between the newly-crowned Super League champions and South Sydney, who ended their 43-year wait for the Australian title when they defeated Canterbury Bulldogs 30-6 last Sunday.

South Sydney are participating in the World Club Series as NRL champions whilst Brisbane Broncos and St George-Illawarra have accepted invitations to be involved in the new-look format.

Cheers Hales, seems like another way of raking money in for the third placed clubs and super final loser .... A waste of time in my opinion ...

Alfie it does lower the prestige of being Super League Champions having the other 2 teams in there. It was the Honour of being the team to represent England against the best team in the NRL.

If they are adding other teams, why not have the Challenge Cup winners in there? They are lowering that Cup, It is like the league cup in football a Mickey Mouse competition

Having said that,I might just take the opportunity of seeing my favourite Aussie club the Dragons take on the wire at The helliwell stadium. (Sm128)

Thinking that the Dragons will improve next year. Paul (Mary) Macgregor has done a reasonable job since he took over half way through the season. With a full pre-season behind him I think we should at least make the finals next year.

I also expect the Boncos to be big improver next year. They have soon really good talent and I am sure Wayne Bennett will inspire them to achieve. Damn, The Boncos are the team I HATE The most.

The Saints are Coming

4 Men named on the Steve Prescott Man of Steel shortlist.
Chris Hill,
Daryl Clark,
James Roby
Jamie Peacock,

Peacock has used Bullying tactics rather than skill.

Clark has gone missing in games, especially when it counted (He is meant to fill the gap Michael Monaghan is leaving with us next season, he has a big step up to make)

Its between
James Roby who has filled in well for Saints & led the team while Walsh has been out.

&

Chris Hill, Clean hard working player that always gives 110% & an unsung hero on the pitch.

Radlinski Wigan general Manger just interviwed on Sky Sports News said something along these lines "We like to do things differently and last night we had a special person present the players with their Grand Final shirts" who was that said the interviewer, "Johnny Wilkinson" replied Radlinski. Now what the F*** has he got to do with Wigan; unbelievable Jeff.

Saints had Tom Van Vollenhoven do the shirt presentation; a Saints Legend. What was wrong with someone like Billy Boston doing theirs?

What a pillock Flowers is,retaliating to a cheap shot, you could forgive him for the first one ,but to hit him when he was unconscious on the floor was unforgivable ..hopefully a very long suspension coming for him.. I do hope the ape isn't going to support him after that,in fact I reckon he should be sent to jail for outright thuggery.. Enjoy your success Colin..

P.S. I EDITED THIS POST ,after writing some@#$%&after the game on the spur of the moment.. Really no excuse for that behaviour and The a Warriors got what they deserved although they did play quite well to contain Saints..

Roll on next season..

TBF..Colin,most rugby league teams are dirty at some point, even your Saints have their moments, so I accept it as part of the game.. We see dirty play all the time..

I'm sure the rugby league world will get over flower punching when another player does something else.. We lost because of it so I accept that and will get over it ,like Flower will do next seasons dome backs better player for it.
