My dad spent more time in the loft trying to get rid of 'ghosting', 'snow' and trying to get channel 4 from a transmitter 2miles away, than it took to build a space rocket, yet decades earlier the Yanks were broadcasting live pictures from the moon, dingies.

You can say what you like, but don't call me naive, you need to look inwardly.

Watched a programme on iplayer about space tourism, Virgin are only going to send people 70 miles up so they can experience weightlessness for 4 minutes. Branson who claimed his craft was sexy, a catamaran mothership which launches a spacecraft at high altitude, unfortunately the spacecraft doesn't have a rocket motor yet and can only glide, so he has probably designed, not a spacecraft but the worlds most expensive glider, although that didn't stop him high fiving everyone at trials. The spaceport cost $200m as was mainly paid for by New Mexico taxpayers, it's been ready since 2011 and the only thing in the futuristic hangar is a model of a spaceship.
So in the 60s we could send people a quarter of a million miles into space, now we only send them into low earth orbit, mmmmmmm!

Watched an old Louis Theroux programme about aliens the other day, how come we don't hear about UFO's that often these days? Is it because most of us have phones that can record such events, if they were to happen?
