why Mesut Ozil is worth £330,000-a-week

Arsenal might have finally made a breakthrough in their attempt to try and get Mesut Ozil to sign a new contract, however it might be at a huge cost to another player.
Reports from the The Sun say that Ozil is demanding to be given the number 10 shirt if he is to stay at the club, which is currently being worn by Jack Wilshere, oh… and he’s demanding a whopping £330,000-a-week.

Remember Henry when he was out of contract in summer 2006 and negotiated with Arsenal FC as a free agent?
Then, we agreed to pay him £100,000-a-week and a £2-million signing-on bonus?
Similarly, Mesut Ozil is demanding £10-million singing-on bonus, which works out to be about £65,000-a-week for a 3-year contract extension.
Then, effectively, Mesut Ozil salary, excluding the signing-on bonus, is 330 - 65 = £265,000-a-week - less than those marquee players like Pogba earning at Man City, ManU and Chelski.
Fingers should be pointed at Arsene Wenger for letting Ozil ran down his contract instead of selling him or sign a new extension when Ozil has 2 years left of his contract in summer 2015.
"The idea is to be more unpredictable every year and be more difficult for the opponents to stop and nullify what we want to do. That’s what we have now, especially at the back and in the midfield the options we have, to open up the spaces, we have many more options than we had last year.” Mikel Arteta

It would be a horrible mistake to give him that. He has been a shadow of his Madrid self ever since he arrived here. Ship him and get someone hungry and young.

He's playing centre midfield in a 5-4-1 for Germany tonight. Interesting idea. Maybe he could be our cazorla replacement. Then again, maybe not.

Ozil has to play as a 10 or down the door. If he's obsessed about his die shirt nos more than the short he wears, he should be down the door
