Match against Milan - another "5-1" Bayern Munich affair?

A split dressing room, a demoralized team and a poetic manager reflecting on his nakeness, hopefully it is deja vu as in the late Brian Clough's erratic behavior during his last season - 1992/93, which saw Nottingham Forest relegated despite reaching the 1991 FA Cup Final.
Bellerin and Monreal are injured and not travelling.
This gives Wenger a rare opportunity to field youngsters who are willing to run out of their skins.
Wenger and Koscielny must solve out the DEFENCE and most importantly (like Tony Adams demanded at X'mas party in December 1997 that Vieira-Petit must shield the Back-4 who was leaking goals).
Same old ... same old ... like first half of 1997/98 season, no defensive shile in front of Back-4.
Can Wenger be ruthless and dropped Iwobi to flood the midfields with a defensive shield and let Front-3 roam and lessen their tracking-back burden?
...................................Ospina
........ Koscielny ........ Mustafi ...... Holding
...Maitland-Niles...Elneny ... Wilshere ... Kolasinac
.......................Ramsey ....... Mkhitaryan
.....................................Ozil
Like Conte playing Fabregas or Hazard as a false 9, Ozil has more goal-scoring threat potential than a limp dick of a Welbeck with no first touch and no holding the ball ability in the box.
The main goal scoring threat is actually Ramsey with his deep running and a knack of getting into goal-scoring position and an instinctive eye for loose balls in the box.
Ramsey is out best No. 8 - box-to-box midfielder to help out Midfield-4 with Ozil-Mkhi pressing high-up on the pitch and always a goal-scoring threat to tie-down Milan Defence during Milan counter-attacking plays.
Let Holding-Kolasinac pairing concentrates on defensive duty instead of gung-ho attacks down the flank, exposing us to quick counter-attacks. Similarly, AMN-Elneny must guard the right-flank. Plus Elneny energy will see him tracking back on defensive duty in the centre as well.
Wilshere is a better defensive player than Xhaka and should be given his chance.
Just drop Xhaka who is poor and offers no defensive shield in front of Back-4.
Plus his passing is poor lately - which is only his redeeming feature in the team, his long and accurate long passes. More and more, it looks like his previous long-range goals are just fluke and not a reflection on his goal-scoring threat with accurate shooting.
"The idea is to be more unpredictable every year and be more difficult for the opponents to stop and nullify what we want to do. That’s what we have now, especially at the back and in the midfield the options we have, to open up the spaces, we have many more options than we had last year.” Mikel Arteta

"Limp dick Welbeck"
I laughed. Very true.
Can someone please tell me - honestly - what's good about Welbeck?
There were lots of Arsenal fans who rated him but hes clearly league 1 standard, always has been, even when at United. He can't shoot pass or head and will always fall over when in a good position.
Never understood why anyone rated him. Absolutely rubbish.

Welbeck is and always was total s.hite.
That said, even Welbeck is better than Iwobi who is as bad a player I've seen in Arsenal's midfield since Ian Selley.

The thing I always liked about Welbz was the he used to put in a shift, I haven't seen him play regularly for so long due to injury, I don't know if he still has this.

Mo Farah would put in a shift for us as well, especially being an Arsenal fan. Doesn't mean I want to see him running around like a headless chicken in an Arsenal shirt as well though.

Nketiah should play. Sping a surprise like we did with Song that time.
You know what you're getting with Welbz....nothing.
Try something different with an actual striker. Michael Owen did it, Rashford did it, Rooney did it; give him a chance.
