Xhaka is the most captain material we have at the club. But he's inconsistent on the pitch and most fans don't like him, so it's not likely he'll be here much longer than a couple more years.

I'd just give it to Leno, safe bet....

Holding.

Emery named 5 captains last summer. 3 of the, Koscielny, Ramsey, Cech, have either left already or want out, 1 is bloody Ozil, who only bothers to show up now and then, and half of the fans want the other one, Xhaka, out!

Prior to that our previous three captains have been Mertesacker, Arteta and Vermaelen, all basically "non-playing captains". Before that was RVP and Cesc, then Gallas!

The role of Arsenal captain has been a joke for years now.

We all knew it'd take a while for us to sort out the Wenger/ Gazidis mess, but we really need to continue the clear out and get all of this poison out of the club.

Maybe then we can make the role of Arsenal captain mean something again.

Kos will be stripped of the captaincy for ill discipline.

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.
