3-4-3?

Anyone else think its worth giving 3-4-3 a go? Would mean a less packed midfield, less reliance on wing backs and would get balls in the box. Also will work when tollit is fit. 4-3-3 has been proven to not work and 4-4-2 is never gonna work with steve and ridehaldgh in a flat back 4.. something like:

Davies
Sutton McNulty Gumbs
Buxton Norburn Harris Rides
Dawson Cook Norwood

Obviously its something micky would never employ though as how dare i drop hughes and play dawson!!!

Come on micky change it up or hand yourself in

McNulty would get exposed at the back if one-on-one,
Dawson is creative but no where near first team as awful attitude, the lad should just move on

So we have to play a system to suit McNulty. If he would be exposed he should'nt be in the team. If we have to have a player covering McNulty that's two player's doing one job. It make's no difference what system we play or who's in the team if it take's us all day to mount an attack. The build up is too slow.

Exactly on fitting certain in. You play your best formation to suit players. However if that means signing a £300,000 a week footballer to player in your team and picking a system to suit him only to find there's 3 players who cost £600,000 a week in total who are being ineffective, then you should drop the player.

You tailor you tactics to suit your best players, not one or two of your best players at the expense of causing other good players to under-perform, for example accommodating a striker to get 25 a season, but cost yourself 12 midfield goals, or fitting him into a system less than optimal for him so he gets 18 a season, but then if your midfield score another 12 goals that season, then the midfield compensate for the 7 lost goals from a striker and add another 5 to the tallies.

If your best 1-2 players can be in a system that allows all players to be superb then fine, but never use tactics to panda to a players quality, at the expense of 2-3 other players being lower quality; as that's bad.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Im not steve's biggest fan but he's a darn sight better than mceveley defensively, we also need his presence as hes the only one in the back line organising the lads around him, yes hes losing his edge but his voice on the pitch is priceless- rides mceveley sutton would be lost sheep without him. Of the goals conceded only the peno against b'ham wood has been his fault, hes not as error prone as folk make out him to be.
