We can still win the league but not without something changing and I don't particularly mean formation, there has to be some big shift in attitude from managment and players. We are far to risk averse at the moment we won't gamble and bomb on or send numbers forwards. That was the big difference when MM came in last season he committed men forwards at every opportunity and just put a sheer weight of pressure on opponents that it was ineviatable we would score "the" goal. He needs to take a step backwards and look at the situation as though he is coming into his first game in charge as a new manager and swallow his pride. We are in exactly the same boat as under GB at the moment so scared of conceding that we won't commit players into danger zones, we need to relaase the shackles. If we are going to win the league we need to win the next 9 games if we do that we will be top of the pops by Christmas. But like a say unless that change happens then we should just worry about scoring a goal.
Higgosboots we are in a far far worse position than what Brabin left us!

We are in the lowest position that we have been in since 1923, and that stark fact should concentrate the mind.
Of course we have been in worse situations such as being on the brink of closure and that is a worse context than the current one.Even so our lowest ranking when we have a good CEO and a better turnover than most in this division is not something to dismiss or rationalise by reference to how few points we are behind the leaders. If we carry on with the same aimless superficial football and only have playing alternatives from those found wanting previously then the gap will widen.
I hope MM can soon pull things around but in the final analysis a manager can expect to be given credit for success but he must also be accountable for failure

Unless we change the style of play we will continue to struggle. We're too predictable and too slow. All the other team have to do is put two men on our target man and we're clueless.
