Just had a look and the third qualifying round is this Saturday too
I think we get an opponent from the northern area so guessing if the draw is next week then probably someone like Stockport

Qualifying rounds, just a little reminder how far we've fallen and how bad we are, gone are the days of 6th round derby games against Liverpool, if we make round 1 we'll be the non league minows.

Yes if one goes back to the year's 2001-2005(around that time)we made the quarter finals 3 times out 5 we we're one of the most successful team's in the FA Cup in those years not counting the winners . Now success is if we can get into the first round.

Stockport are playing FC United of Manchester tomorrow in the cup. The BBC are showing the tie between Ashton Athletic vs Chorley (ko 12:30) live on their website.

I'll take whoever we get and without our league form hanging over us the players will be relaxed , 2-0 win, onwards and upwards.

The cup worries me.We look capable of being defeated by almost any well organised and spirited group and that would only further reduce confidence. A cup run could bring in rejuvenating income but it is hard to see creating that momentum. It could, however be a chance to try some of our junior players and if only one came through as a prospective first team player it would be a bonus of more importance than progressing to the next round

Fantastic memories of Rovers in both major cups. Alas both competition are now dead imo. And while many clubs in this division may get excited about a 3rd round tie away to Birmingham u21s and as lucrative as it may be the cups just don't seem to interest our fans at the moment.
Wonder what our younger supporters opinion on it is ?

At my local club Truro in the FA cup today. Will be interesting to compare what this table topping part-time outfit look like compared to the 5 Tranmere games I have seen this season. Truro win and a possible draw against TRFC, on current form I'd fancy Truro.....

Back from Truro match, comfortable 4-1 winners, could and should have been more. Not one player in the Truro side looks anywhere near a patch on any of ours yet that was their 8th win in succession. The difference 2 strikers who constantly run at the opposition defence never giving them a chance to settle and the same for the 2 centre mids who kept driving forwards with the ball. Would be interesting if TRFC get drawn against a vastly inferior but completely attack minded Truro team in the next round.

South Shields would not be an easy draw.Buxton would be a nice day out.

You can listen to the draw live according to the FA Website.

The special guest doing the draw is 'former Arsenal player Adrian Clarke'.

Just been looking thru the draw for the FA Cup 4th qualifying round. One of the ties that stands out is, South Shields v Hartlepool. Don't think Pools will relish that short trip.
