There was a brilliant video posted by our very own Deadly on his twitter feed this week that showcased our most memorable matches. To say it made the hairs on my neck stand up is a huge understatement and it is definitely worth watching for Rovers fans of all ages. It's more than just a feel good movie though as it highlighted a key ingredient in our play that probably passed us by at the time because we just thought we were brilliant back in the day. That key ingredient is speed.

That speed wasn't just Chris Malkin running fast or the blur of Ian Nolan over-lapping and smashing one in against Aston Villa. It also includes the speed of our attacking play with Nick Henry's goal against Bolton being a great example. And I think that speed has come back into the 2017 team.

The current squad is starting to feel well balanced, there is competition for places and we seem to moving the ball forward a lot more quickly than earlier in the season. I think there is also a bit of a 'buzz' returning as it feels like we have turned the corner a bit in recent weeks. And even though we should only worry about ourselves, I have to say that Wrexham offered so little against Chester on Wednesday on Adam Virgo TV that we should have no fears of any teams above us.

That's not to say that we should be blasé about our opponents. Indeed, Dagenham and Redbridge were considered one of the better sides who came to PP last season, so tomorrow's game will be a good test. But if The Daggers come to play (as they usually do) it may work in our favour and allow us to continue in our current, free flowing style.

My Tranmere mojo has returned then and I am looking forward to games again instead of being filled with trepidation. I might be clutching at straws a bit and accusations of giddiness could be perfectly valid. But with the returning injured players allied with well performing signings, I don't think I have pressed the giddy button too much.

Can we hope for a few more memorable games this season then? I think you know what I think.

The deadly submarine on twitter isn’t the deadly submarine from here, he’s an imposter lol

I’m full of confidence again (so we’ll probably lose) so I’ll go for a 2-0

There's somebody else who calls themselves Deadly Sub on another site elsewhere.

This lot played us off the park here last season imo. Having already lost to 3 of the current top 4 at Prenton Park Mellon's woeful record against the top sides continues.
I'm not one who thinks we've turned a corner yet but I can see improvement attacking wise with the impact Dylan has made. so I'm going for a score draw

I think we're in better shape now that Mellon has strengthened the wide options.

DMH and Cole have shown this over the last few games, and Green looks to be a decent player with pace and goals in his locker.

As long as they have worked on their finishing I expect us to win this one comfortably.

Kirby is back too and I'd like to see him get a run out in front of the home crowd.

According to Wirral Radios pundits, Cookie is rumoured to be moving to Lincoln when the window reopens, so we need to gear up for life without him if this is happening.

Maybe that's why he's dropped to the bench in recent weeks?

they've drawn 6 of their away games in the NL so far this season, so it appears that they are the away draw specialists. sounds like they will be all set up for a draw and a point to take back down south. am going for a 2-1 win for the Rovers in a tight contest.

They haven’t offered much so can only get better in the second half. We have controlled the majority saying that though...

And not much changed in the second half.
