Prediction League Game 19 & 20

January 6 2018
Happy New Year everyone and lets hope it's more exciting that todays 0-0 draw with East Fife, but i've skipped a match and will return to todays match shortly. On Tuesday 2nd of January Airdrieonians travelled the short distance to Coatbridge to take on Albion Rovers in the local New Years derby in front of a bumper crowd.
Albion Rover 2 - 2 Airdrie
The only thing to write about in the first half was the rain, those in attendance outside and inside of the main stand were soaked through. The second half sprunk to life after Allan Trouten opened the scoring on 56 minutes it's what the game needed. Airdrie replied 12 minutes later when Willis Futado slotted home, 5 minutes later Dean Cairns gave the Dimaonds the lead. Unfortunately we couldn't see the game out and with the last kick of the ball Scott McLaughlin gave scored to give the Rovers a share of the spoils.
Airdrie 0 - 0 East Fife
You can understand that Airdrie's back room staff didn't want a repeat of our last game against the Fifers but that ultimately led to a very dull and boring match, we had plenty of possession in the first half but with no end resul. In the second half East Fife got in to the match and a fine save from Rohan Ferguson kept the game at 0-0 but on a freezing January night the last thing the fans want is such a dull affair.
The only high point we've now gone six games unbeaten, who thought we would have been able to say that a few months ago?
The Man in Black has the top spot but only just as the prediction league table tightens up.
