Martinelli or Odegaard MotM at Leeds? Player Ratings

A very good win up north against a depleted Leeds team. Brilliant first half, pace, skill and goals. Most shots since opta started. 2nd half we didn't want to waste too much energy and just done enough.

Odegaard way to high marks.
Messed up a couple of times instead of shooting.
Casually brushed off the ball to much.
Xhaka 3
Should have been sent off.
Bloke is just a loose cannon.
Will constantly let you down.

Can't remember a player creating as many chances as Odegaard did tonight since Ozil in his pomp.
9 is well deserved in my opinion. He also calmed our nerves with a great pass to Smith Rowe.

As Flava called it in the other rating thread, this was the "Martinelli show". Granted Odegaard had a very good game in terms of chances created, Martinelli's two goals basically won the game for Arsenal.
It was very close and Martinelli is my favourite Arsenal player but Odegaard was running that game.

Odegaard and Lacazette were not bad but they wasted too many chances. Martinelli was definitely the man of the match.

Its all about the runs. I have said it numerous times before that the movement upfront when Auba and Laca and even Saka play together is absolutely bang average. In fact at most times it's non existent.
One is not supposed to just randomly look for a ball over the top to the far post 90% of the time or run into passing lanes that have a very low probability of success, which is what our forwards have been doing since RVP left.
Martinelli is the first player since Ramsey that actually makes runs like of a professional forward.
After years of watching Giroud plod away and Auba and Laca standing still, this is very refreshing.
Also watch the amount of times Martinelli found a player with his cut backs. This was so common during peak wenger that i used to take it for granted. Now watching players like Tierney, Auba,Laca, Pepe frequently fluff their cut backs, Martinelli looks spectacular.

Just for the record. This was Odegaards best game for Arsenal in the first 10mins put two players through.
He controlled the game. Having watched the game again he was clearly our best player. His weight of pass was exceptional.
