Tough one to take. 2-0 is harsh. I thought we just about edged the first half and started the second half well, but it's fine margins in games like this. Jota beat Ramsdale at his near post and then Firmino scored after a number of mistakes as we tried to clear our lines. Haven't scored in our last 10 hours and 5 minutes against Liverpool - this side is crying out for investment up top. Just lacking that little bit extra. Lots of football still to be played. We go again!
Ramsdale - 6. Okay generally but unfortunately beaten at his front post despite getting a hand to it.
Cedric - 6. First half I thought he was excellent. Second half gaps started to appear.
White - 6. Okay overall but caught dribbling out in the second half.
Gabriel - 6. Again okay overall but lost ball in build up to second goal.
Tierney - 6. Defended well but wasn't able to attack as he would've like.
Partey - 8. Good game again. Showing such quality on the ball.
Xhaka - 7. Did well. Quality and composure on the ball, especially later on.
Saka - 6. Felt Liverpool did a good job on him.
Odegaard - 6. Started well but like Saka Liverpool kept him quiet. Missed a good chance at the start of the second half.
Martinelli - 9. He's the player everyone will be talking about after the game. Gave TAA a torrid time with his pace and direct running. Came so, so close to scoring at the end.
Lacazette - 6. Can't fault the work rate but wasn't able to punish Liverpool's defenders.

Smith Rowe - 5. Didn't make much of an impact.
Pepe - 5. Ditto.
Nketiah - N/A. Not on long.
