De Gevigney departs Barnsley

Defender Mael De Gevigney has left Barnsley to join Danish top-flight side Silkeborg IF for an undisclosed fee.

 

The Frenchman made 128 appearances in a three-year stint at Oakwell after joining from Nimes in 2023. 

 

The 26-year-old had a stretch of playing 63 games in a row for the Reds, completing every minute. 

 

De Gevigney told the club website: "I just want to thank everybody at Barnsley who made me feel at home during my three seasons in red. The players, staff, every individual involved in the club and obviously, the fans. I wish you the very best and I’ll never forget my time here."
