Where are Davies and McKenzie?

When the team sheets were announced vs Forest, the football world went into amazement at how Blackpool could have seven players omitted due to five registrations not been completed and two players awaiting work permits/international clearance. The truth was there was actually nine players missing and this seems to have been somewhat missed by most. So where are Davies and McKenzie and why were the omitted?

It was speculated over the summer that Gary Mckenzie had walked out of training and refusing to play for the club again, these rumours seem to have been confirmed by Karl Oyston on talksport at one point when he was interviewed. He caused message boards to melt down as he suggested at the time (were we only had seven players under contract) that we "only have five now". 

The two players who walked out have never been named but rumours are suggesting that McKenzie was one of them. That said he did have Injury troubles last season but heading into the game we were told Riga had a fully fit side, so why no inclusion for the former captain? He was last seen representing the club at the opening of the Beach House returaunt/bar on Friday night. So perhaps like the chant suggests Gary McKenzie "is having a party". One thigs for sure from the outside looking in, it would seem he's heading for the exit door.

Davies, for those who were unaware, signed last summer. Not that you'd know, the striker has made scattered appearances since signing for half a million quid. getting somewhat bigger each time; it no wonder the chairman hates to spend money.

His fitness has been brought in to question numerous times and his lack of it was one of the reasons the previous fitness club was sacked. So does his omission mean that even after twelve months at the club he is still unfit? He could and would have offered another attacking option for Jose Riga but yet was still omitted. It's a shame because he is a player who when Applyimg himself could be an asset.

The club really needs to make a comment on the status of the two players ASAP, if they are again omitted from the squad again tonight then it will lead to more speculation. For tonight's cup clash would be a chance for both to gain some match fitness, if that is the issue both players are suffering with. If hey are omitted, then there is a can of worms and the supporters deserve answers.
