So the record has been broken - ELEVEN successive League wins away from home. The record held by Tottingham since the 60s is now ours. Eight from eight away wins this season and the way the team walked into the Reebok Stadium just after 1.30pm yesterday afternoon, disunity? Nah forget it!
If Chelsea do not win the Premiership this season, then it won’t be the fault of our away form - its playing at home that’s the problem. Why is it we have gone to eight different away grounds this season - win ‘em all but suffer in Europe with a draw and a defeat in the Champions League? Football - the game we love to hate to love!! Chelsea needed to get off to a fast start, to be able to dictate the play and get the home team to attack earlier than they might have wanted. Apart from a early header from an unmarked Kevin Davies, just clearing the bar, Chelsea got the fast start they wanted. From a Bossie cross, Anelka stole in behind Andy O’Brien to head Chelsea into the lead, via the post. On twenty minutes Deco with a wonderful scissors kick after Ballack nodded the ball down after Jussi saved with his legs from a Kalou shot, put Chelsea 2-0 up. The first-half was a coast, but a tactical switch by Bolton at half-time saw Chelsea fight and battle to get the win they deserved. John Terry and Alex were immense in the centre of defence, Ash and Bossie went forward whenever they could and defended their flanks with determination despite both being cut down by Davies and McCann respectively. Strange that Davies was booked and McCann wasn’t!! Cechie boy looked as if he was gonna have one of those off days. His goal-kicking was atrocious and it was apparent that Big Phil wasn’t too happy. Cech redeemed himself with a fine close range save in the second-half and Chelsea had to deal with one or two fervent penalty appeals from Bolton which ref Howard Webb was having none off. I think pretty much everybody played well although Kalou continues to frustrate.
I was pleasantly surpised as I expected a much tougher match.
Still, time to think about Cluj now - possibly Joe Cole may be back and then we have the Drog also champing at the bit.

Poor old Scott must be at his wits end now. He´ll ask for a move soon I reckon.
Scolari also said that these players (Sinclair, Stoch, Woods...) aren´t players to change a game yet.
