Chelsea 2-0 Blackburn: The Day Was All About HUSS!

OK Chelsea got the three points, scored two wonderful goals (and there could have been a few more had it not been for the agility of Paul Robinson), played some good football and basically cruised to an easy win. The day though belonged to HUSS. There were no plans, no pre-conceived ideas just a spontaneous chorus from the fans of 'We Want You to Stay' shortly after the second-half kicked-off and repeated throughout the reminder of the second-half.
We also sang, 'Roman sign him up,' and there was a quick burst of 'You can stick your Ancelotti, up your A**e!!'
So the fans clearly sent a message to Mr A and the board of directors that they MUST do everything they can to make sure HUSS is our manager when the 2009/10 season kicks off in August.
HUSS was suitably impressed, honoured and no doubt slightly embarrassed by the fans reactions. He said, "It's a nice way to say goodbye with a victory and I think we could have and should have scored a few more but you could see that in some parts of the game there was a lack of concentration not to make a third or fourth.
"That was a nice appreciation from the crowd and to be honest I didn't expect it in this way because I am here for a relatively short period to do my job and not just that, you have to deliver more and that's what I tried.
"I'd like to thank all of you for supporting the team, thank you very much. The season is not over yet."
Returning to the team's performance, HUSS said, "That's a normal reaction of a team that has performed well in recent weeks and we enjoyed it. That's a nice way for the moment to say goodbye, although the season is not over.
"I enjoyed from the first minute until the end but it is still not the end because we have something great in the upcoming days."
Malouda opened the scoring within five minutes with a powerful header, after Bossie surged into Blackburn's half before releasing Anelka down Chelsea's right. Anelka crossed and Chelsea's MIP Malouda, headed past a diving Robinson.
Anelka got Chelsea's second which put himself firmly in contention for the Golden Boot after he shot home from the edge of the area after Drogba had touched the ball back.
