Birmingham Preview: Here We Go It Is Christmas Time

Firstly let me take this opportunity to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Chelsea travel to St Andrews this lunchtime to take on an in-form Birmingham City side who have taken 19 points from a possible 21 winning their last six out of seven. Now in the past when Chelsea have taken on 'in-form' team we have taken them apart and put them to the sword.
I think Chelsea will be in for a difficult time. Games against the Brum at St Andrews are always tough but with the form that Brum are in at the moment, today will be no exception.
The 'Drog' plays his last game before he sets off for the Cup of Nations in Africa and Anelka is out with an injury picked up in training (Anelka will also miss the Fulham game on Monday) so the chance for Danny Sturridge to shine as come a calling.
Fabio Borini will also feature over the next few days, whether he starts or makes the bench, remains to be seen.
Gael Kakuta is also likely to feature and with Chelsea now lightweight in the striking department, the return of Franco Di Santo from his loan spell can't come quick enough.

McCleish has done a really good job with Brum - theyve surprised me to be honest.
