Boss 'Anco' has announced that returning African stars Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou will not travel Up Norf to 'Moor despite being fit but he said that they will play at Hull City on Tuesday night. 'Anco' has also indicated that Deco and Carvalho maybe rested. He said, "It is important to control this because if a player goes onto a pitch with fatigue, there could be a risk of injury."
'Anco' also added, "We have a possibilty to control this now because we have many players fit so we have the possibility to rest some. We want to do a control on every player but maybe with more attention on the players older than 30.
"We want to control the position of Deco and Carvalho. They are well and Deco played a fantastic game against Birmingham."
As far as I am concerned, Deco has been magnificent since he took over 'holding' role duties during the Preston game and against Birmingham and I really think he could do the job at The Moor.
Tight ground, fans close to the pitch and Burnley's remarkable home record, despite their lean time losing Coyle down the road to Bolton and installing Brian Laws as the manager, even though Laws didn't have the best of times at Sheffield Wednesday.

We need to be on our guard as ManUre and Goonerville found to their cost with both teams dropping points. ManUre losing and Arsenal drawing - that's the measure of Burnley's threat to Chelsea keeping top of the Premiership table.
I really thought Didier would at least be on the bench and perhaps Kalou too, so thats a disappointment.
So fingers crossed at about 7.20pm tomorrow night, there are no more!
As a postscript Patrick van Aanholt has been loaned to Newcastle United until the end of February.

Yes, Deco did play the holding roll well - be interesting to see if he plays there again....
Any early team news? Would like to see Sturridge get a run out at some point seeing as this could be his last chance for a while with Drogba and Kalou back....Kakuta etc on the bench? Maybe I´m asking too much.

A win for us and a draw between Mancs and Woolwich I suppose is the best results combination this weekend.
