Chelsea 2-4 Money Citeh: Keep The Blue Flag Flying High

Ner Ner Ner!!!

February 27 2010

Forget about our previous defeats against Wigan, Aston Villa, Money Citeh and Everton. Today's humiliation at Stamford Bridge was far worse and potentially extremely damaging for our chances of regaining the Premiership title. Today was a debacle with errors made that you would not even see in your local park on a Saturday or Sunday.

The JT and Wayne Bridge saga is now done and dusted and should be forgotten, although the press and media will continue to run and run with it until the last scraps of meat have been minced from the bones, Chelsea have major major problems.

Today's defeat which brought an end to our proud unbeaten home League record of 37 games was a disaster waiting to happen.

citeh5

Our League form hasn't been the best and in a way we have been fortunate to gain some of the points that we had - Wolves, Burnley, Hull City are prime examples - at Everton we got what we deserved!!!

Whatever Citeh's coach Mancini gave his players in their half-time tea, 'Anco' should get some, because Citeh came out rampaging and completely tore Chelsea apart.

Bellamy down the left, Tevez all over the place and Shaunie down their right. But during the first-half you would have thought some of Citeh's players weren't interested and not showing their worth for their HUGE HUGE salaries.

Barry was strolling, Tevez looked like he had just got off the plane, Bellamy was hiding and the rest just appeared to wait for Chelsea attack after Chelsea attack.

citeh6

It took Chelsea until the 41st minute to take the lead. After wasting numerous chances and trying to walk the ball into the net, Joey Cole playing better than he had in recent games, sent a ball through Citeh's defence for Super Frank to latch onto and fire a low shot past Given in off the post.

Right on half-time from a Citeh clearance (and only Mikel will know what he was trying to do) Mikel headed on for Tevez to chase. Tevez had trouble controlling the ball, Terry and Carvalho had trouble getting the ball, then Tevez managed to squeeze a soft shot past Hilario (who got his angles all wrong) to make it 1-1.

Five minutes into the second-half, Citeh took the lead. Bellamy raced onto a through ball, leaving Mikel, who has the pace of a castrated donkey, in his wake. From an acute angle Bellamy scored past the outstretched Hilario (wrong angles again?!?!) to make it 2-1.

Then the fun really started. Off came Joey (to derisory boos from the faithful) for Danny Sturridge, Mikel finally came off for Belletti who went into the holding role.

Then Kalou came on for Carvalho, with Belletti moving to right-back and Ivanovic into the middle, then Belletti got himself sent-off for a professional foul on Barry inside the area. Tevez converted the kick to make it 3-1.

Six minutes later Ballack got himself sent-off for hacking down Tevez and then after a Citeh counter-attack Bellamy got Citeh's fourth from a Shaunie cross.

Still more fun was to be had. Ref Mike Dean gave Chelsea a soft penalty after Anelka was fouled by Barry and the Matthew Harding End started singing for fun, once Super Frank had made it 2-4.

This result and performance is one I can take on chin after many, many, many years of experience of bad results and performances, but Chelsea need to address Ballack's temperament (which was a disgrace after hacking at Tevez the way he did), Mikel's holding role position was blatantly exposed for lack of pace and I am sorry to say, have the events of the last few weeks finally caught up with JT?

BUT WE ARE STILL TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!

Chelsea: Hilario, Ivanovic, Carvalho (Kalou 69), Terry (c), Malouda, Ballack, Mikel (Belletti 59), Lampard, Anelka, J Cole (Sturridge 59), Drogba

23 attempts on goal - 10 OFF target. What a waste

Citeh only had 8 and scored from 4 of them

At least one Chelsea team won today.

The Academy beat Fulham 1-0 at Cobham. It was an 'away' game but the pitches at Motspur Park are waterlogged, hence the switch.

You have to question what is Ballack doing in the team.

Chelski palyed far far better with 9-man for 10 minutes rather than with 10 or 11 men.

WHen Anelka decidied to play and put in a shift, he was devastating and ripped CITEH apart with his direct running into the box and shoot.

WTF was Anelka doing from 1st to 79th minute then?

Your FB was doing okay down both flanks, but wtf was the centre doing without any protection in the centre?

CITEH was all over the place in the 1st half, Chelski in control..then WHAM! BANG! Chelski got suckered punched.

I have no arguments with you there Merlion

Ballacks presence in the team has been questioned for a very long time and why take off Joe Cole, it was his best game for a long time. Perhaps anelka should have been replaced instead.

As I said before Chelsea could not cope with Tevez, Bellamy and Shaun Wright-Phillips in the second-half

The serious problems are as follows,

1)Petr Cech getting injured.
2)No cover in goal.
3)Ahley getting injured.
4)Terry making to many costly mistakes.
5)No discipline.

We are leaking to many goals we go a goal up now and still end up losing when in the past we never lost a game when we led.
I don't think their is too much going on behind the scenes but i did here from somebody at the club that Ashley has got the a£sehole about the fine imposed on him for breaking club regulations and terry gets off scott free.

It is being reported that Ashley wants to 'quit' football and he is said to have sent his friends a text message at 3am during the week, saying 'Thank you for everything.'

Truly depressing!

It was as if City handled their tiredness better than we did - got the rub of the green and then took advantage of mistakes - the whole thing snowballed on a downward spiral for us.

My only hope is that this performance/result serves as a MASSIVE kick up the bu.m and is the start of a turnaround.

Lets hope so dixon i bet the first thing they will be doing on Monday morning is watching the full rerun of the match and how painful that must be but lets hope they have learnt their lesson and be more disciplined in matches in future.

Stoke will be a stiff, decent test as well.
