WC2010 Day 11 Round-Up: JT Hung Out to Dry

I cannot see any reason why JT had to apologise to 'Granite Face' for opening his heart and exploding his passion for the failures of the England team so far in this extraordinary World Cup. All he did, after explaining in great detail the wrongs about the Algeria game was to suggest to Capello might want to start Joe Cole in tandem with Wayne Rooney - to open things up.

WTF is wrong with that? England were bad against the USA, apathetic against Algeria and if England do not win against Algeria on Wednesday, then England are on the bus home.

Where was Gerrard, Capello, Baldini? (It was Baldini who 'pushed' JT into the press media). Why was JT lauded in front of the snarling, baying mass media and press? Was JT briefed before-hand? Was there a FA representative in attendance?

It would not surprise me in the slightest that Capello will wield the axe and drop JT for his outburst!! Let's wait and see.

Yesterday came the end of the 2nd round matches with Portugal battering North Korea 7-0.

Ronaldo scoring his first international goal in two years and ex-Chelsea midfielder Tiago, netting twice in the 2nd half rout as Portugal scored SIX.

Chile beat Switzerland 1-0 and Spain got their campaign back on track with a 2-0 win over Honduras with David Villa scoring twice.

France 1-2 South Africa

(Mexico and Uruguay qualify for the last 16)

Nigeria v South Korea 7.30pm

Greece v Argentina 7.30pm

John Terry is responsible for what John Terry says, no one else. Don't see the point in blaming Capello or the captain for it. Why? John Terry thought he could cross the line and his team mates would support him. Why was he trying to stage a mutiny? How would that have helped England? Honestly, the man thinks he is untouchable.

Again I say why was JT sent into that press conference without being briefed. Capello should have been there, Pearce should have been there. JT should have been briefed. Gerrard should have been there!!!

Remember England had just drawn against Algeria and he ISNT even the captain - he is just a player.

SLAVE TO THE GLADIATORS - the press were baying for blood!!!!

Just look at his non-captain THREE LION performance against Slovenia this afternoon, tells you everything about his commitment, passion, desire for any shirt he pulls on
