Away Day Goals Spree

Chelsea comfortably returned to winning ways with a stroll in west Yorkshire against a Huddersfield team that seemed more intent upon damage limitation than actually going forward and scoring goals.

It was good to see Pedro score, as he has been short of goals, presumably on account of being short of first team starts. The same applies to his attacking partner Willian who made a rare start and also found the net. Most welcome of all was a goal for the under-fire Bakayoko who is beginning to wear the supporters' patience a bit thin.

However, for all their domination, the champions passed up a great opportunity to significantly boost their goal difference. Instead, they conceded a goal from the last minute of the contest, and instead of winning by about five or six goals, the margin of victory was a mere two. Conte's team, as he knows only too well, needs to be a lot more clinical. Next on the league agenda is the visit of Southampton. A few more goals wouldn't go amiss this Saturday afternoon.
