Batshuayi Must Stay!

After a dreadful performance at Arsenic, the champions of England got their season back on track with yet another routine home win over Newcastle United. However, for the first half hour, the hosts failed once more to trouble the opposition goalkeeper. Then the floodgates finally were breached when a marvellous pass by Pedro found Hazard who squared the ball for Alonso who in turn nudged the ball onto an unmarked Batshuayi, and the young Belgian ace gleefully tucked his chance away. Soon after the striker found the back of the net, with the help of a deflection. In the end, the under-fire centre forward was nominated as man of the match. Only a couple of decent saves stopped Michy from doubling his goals tally. Hopefully he has convinced his employer that the club should persist with him. He appears to be more ruthless in front of goal than the overrated Morata. To jettison Michy, even on a temporary loan, in favour of the likes of Dzeko is a car crash of a transfer policy.
Elsewhere, the rookie replacements Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi produced wonderful cameos. It remains to be seen whether the Blues can win any silverware this troubled season, but clearly there is a handful of talented young players waiting in the wings. Maybe just maybe one or two of them might make the grade at Chelsea Football Club.
