Hull plan Jan signings

Tigers boss Phil Brown revealed to BBC Look North that chief scout Bob Shaw had spent the week in France looking at prospective new players. He said: "We're looking around Europe and we're looking around England. "We've earmarked one or two transfer signings but we'll only bring players in that will improve the camp," the City boss added.

Browning talking about King said

It's always the case - players will come and go, players will move,"

"The bottom line is Marlon King is on a year-long loan, he's not really our player officially.

"However, while at this football club I think he has shown everybody, with his performances, that he is our player and he wants to play for Hull City.

"There is a lot of talking to be done. We are talking about a possible transfer for a player from another football club and I have no idea what Wigan are doing with their business and I have no idea what Emile Heskey is doing with his business.

"I think what we will do is assess it when we come into January and see what happens.

"But, as far as I'm concerned, Marlon King is here for the season."

Brown on other Targets

"We have plans in place," said the Tigers boss.

"Scouting reports are coming in left, right and centre. We are covering a lot of Europe now but we are still a million miles behind all the big boys and the guys who have been in the Premier League for a number of years.

"But that is not for want of trying. We are trying to get better players.

"We have got competition for places in every position, so we are not going to flood the place in January. But if there are players we think can improve us we will bring them in.

"We have got transfer targets earmarked and if necessary we will move on them."
