Phil Browns comments following last nights defeat against Arsenal has had some fans up in arms about his rant. Brown felt the crowd and the Arsenal manager influenced the referee and key decision which included the second Arsenal goal and the booking of Hull keeper Boaz Myhill. Brown was also outraged at an alleged spit by Cesc Fabregas
"I was very proud of my players," said Brown.
"I've asked them to bring that fighting spirit to the table for the next nine games and if they do that, we'll be fine, there's no doubt about it.
"In the first half we scored a goal and Geovanni brought a great save out of their goalkeeper. You can talk about Arsenal's passing all you want, but I felt we deserved to be ahead.
"They made changes to affect the game. No excuses for the first goal, it was a mistake by us. No excuses for the second goal, it was definitely a mistake from the officials. That is why we are out of the FA Cup.
"Ask Mr Riley how much that is going to cost Hull City and I don't think he'd understand and I don't think he'd care.
"Their lad was two yards offside when he scored. Nick Barmby was a yard offside (when he had a goal disallowed). The flag goes up for Nick but not for their lad.
"The referee bowed to pressure from the fans and to Arsene Wenger when it came to time wasting. Arsene Wenger got my goalkeeper booked. Do you call that good management?
"I remember being at Highbury with Bolton. Jussi Jaaskelainen was the keeper. Both goalkeepers were measured by Sam Allardyce (for how long they were taking over goal kicks) after the game.
"The Arsenal keeper took longer for his goal kicks than Jussi. However, as soon as Jussi got the ball, the crowd booed, hence raising the awareness of a goal kick. This was from the 15th minute onwards and Mr Wenger decided to join in. The result was my goalkeeper was booked early in the second half.
"Our game-plan was working (last night) until our goalkeeper got booked. Our game-plan wasn't to time-waste."
Many Hull fans will agree with Brown. The outburst does ask the question thought when is it ok to criticise a team or manager. Say for instance would Arsenal fans say its ok for their manager to constantly moan about teams.To quote Wenger after a game against Stoke earlier in the season
“I read that my team were not brave,” Wenger said.
“All I can say is they are brave and, for me, you need to have more courage to play football when you know that someone is tackling you from behind without any intention to play the ball.
“The only intention is to hurt you and I can show some tackles where I can prove what I say. The one who is tackling is not the brave one. For me the brave one is the player who is trying to play football.
“It happened at the weekend. Do you think Delap tried to play the ball when he tackled Walcott? Or that Shawcross tried to play the ball when he tackled Adebayor off the pitch. All the players have been injured deliberately.
“I am not ready to listen to things that are completely untrue and make people who are cowards, for me, look brave.”
Wenger is saying that Stoke are cowards and that the Stoke playersgo out on the pitch to injury opposing teams.How can Arsenal fans be outraged at this outburst by Brown when their very own manager has done it in the past?

Arsenal fans applauded Hull when they beat Arsenal 2-1.
Wenger did not atack Stoke after game - the quotes are taking from a press conference several days afterwards when he was told his team were cowards. He then referred to some of the dirty tackles Stoke had carried out.
Your man is a bad loser - he got his tactics wrong and has done a Keegan.

The club has a history of disrespect. Think back to the pizza being thrown at fergie. And the entire team bullying nistlerooy after missing a pen. Think back to Fabregas spitting at ballack, verbally abusing Mark Hughes. Gary Neville being bullied by Viera in the tunnel before Keane stepped in and he shat his self. Fabregas is a c*nt of the highest order, he's spat at people before (ballack) and he'll do it again. Wenger claiming Taylor should have been banned for life for an unfortunate illtimed tackle (which happened from a standing start), then later in the season when Diaby ran and launched himself studs up into a bolton player claimed he was innocent. Wenger starting on i think Pardew for having the temeritry to celebrate his sides goal. The fact that this happens so much under Wenger makes you have to question the man.
Brown was right to say theres something wrong at that club because there is. Its got a good footballing philosphy but when it comes to disipline its practically non existant. The amount of red cards shown in wengers tenure is testament to that.
And Padre how can you moan about brown being a bad loser Wenger is just as bad. Moaning about the other teams tactics constantly. Like he expects teams with less talent to just show up and roll over. United have had to deal with that for years, but fergie does'nt bemoan this he finds a way to break the teams down that "park the bus"

get some football education - im guessing your a manyoo fan with your inherent lack of knowledge
as for managers - fergie says united were the better team after their 4-1 defeat vs liverpool and refused to talk to the media - no complaints there tho ay???

The vast majority of the incidents that have taken place in the above knock were against Man Utd. Where the Hull City fan misses the point is that it is a very very bitter rivalry that has gone back many many years. Arsenal and Manchester United for the majority of football history has been a heated affair.
As regards the disciplinary problem , yes Wenger had a team picking up a plethora of cards indeed, but three times in the last six years you will see Arsenal sitting pretty at the top of the fair play league.
Tackling is part of the game but some of the challenges against Arsenal players have been atrocious. Taylor mis timed the tackle indeed, but it left a man lying on the ground with only skin holding his leg to his ankle, says something about the tackle that. I remember a game up at Sunderland where Abou Diaby had a career threatening challenge off a player who was not fit to lace his boots, but yet he went unpunished. I am not saying Arsenal players havent dished out bad challenges, but to say its something they do regularly is silly, they try to pass teams to death not kick them off the pitch.
As regards the Fabregas incident with Ballack.....he was booked for his actions and UEFA dealt with it, so why does it need to be reviewed? Are you going to drag the incident of Alex Fergiebum racing up the hard shoulder because he had the squits come back when United fail to complete the five trophy haul?
Hull City to me where never on my radar until they won promotion, to me Hull is a city near Lincoln, to me Hull is a bit of a dump. To me Hull is a city with Rugby League traditions, to me.....Hull is just another side in the big boys league who have done really well. However, I am now beginning to think that Hull City FC are really trying to get a point across that means nothing....the point being...we were 18 minutes away from a semi final and we were robbed. The Gallas goal was offside but that is football...what Hull City have to do is concentrate on the pitch and not try playing the off field antics the way they are...it leaves them looking stupid, and when you have a peasant trying to upstage the Barons you get a serious whacking...Hull City learn something....take the Arsenal on....by all means, but please stop your squeaking it wont do you no favours....
