Altidore Joins Hull

Hull have completed the loan signing of Villarreal and USA striker Jozy Altidore. He will spend the whole of the 09/10 campaign with The Tigers. Altidore 19 started his career with New York Red Bulls before moving to Villarreal last season. he only made 6 appearances for Villarreal. he was loaned to Xerez in the Spanish Second division.

He had minor operation on an injured toe nail and never made an appearance for Xerez. Altidore has 16 caps for the full USA team and has scored 7 goals.

Altidore is valued at around £6.5 million by Villarreal who see Altidore as one for the future and have rejected approaches from Everton in the past.

Altidore has also set many records.

Youngest American to score in their first international start.
Youngest American to score in a World Cup Qualifier.
Youngest American to score a hat trick in World Cup Qualifier.
First US International to score in Spain's La Liga.
