Caleb Folan has joined Championship Side Middlesbrough on a three month loan deal with a view to a permanent move. Folan has found himself way down the Hull pecking order following the arrivals of Kamel Ghilas , Jozy Altidore and jan vennegoor of hesselink.
Tigers boss Phil Brown believes the striker will benefit from the move.
"We wish Caleb well," said Brown.
"The deal is heavily in favour of a permanent move and if Caleb is successful up there, then come January he could make the move permanent.
"It's a good chance for him to go and play some games. He played
four games for us in the Barclays Premier League this season but
unfortunately chances were few and far between, certainly in the games
against Chelsea and Tottenham.
"He's done a very good job for us with regard to getting us into this
division. He found himself on the bench probably too often last season
through no fault of his own. He's had his chance this time round, he
hasn't scored goals and this is a move that can rekindle his career if
he can start scoring goals for a Championship club."
