Torquay's Carayol signs for City

Torquay United's impressive Mustapha Carayol has agreed a two year deal with the Imps. Sutton was impressed with the Gambian in City's 3-2 win over Torquay in March and has moved to bring the former Macclesfield, MK Dons and Crawley man to Sincil Bank.

MustaphaCarayolCarayol was Torquay United's standout player in their recent game against the Imps. Had it not been for Carayol's speed and effort down the wing then City would have probably won by a more comfortable margin.

He also three times in the final four weeks of the season, all of which resulted in Torquay United winning. The most impressive goal of his was a jinking run around several Grimsby defenders to score the goal that effectively guaranteed the Mariners went down.

The clubs are in talks over compensation for the 21 year old and assuming everything goes well, he will join City when his current contract expires at Plainmoor.
