Duff In International Return

Newcastle United midfielder Damien Duff has been recalled for Republic of Ireland's friendly match against Brazil on February 6th 2008. His returns comes 11 months after his last match against Slovakia. Duff has since been injured and forced to miss out on a large number of Premier League and International matches.
The former Chelsea and Blackburn player has 66 International caps to his name since making his debut in 1998. In his 10 year career he has scored 7 goals for his country.
Caretaker manager Don Givens gave the following encourgment to Duff:
"The return of Damien Duff is a boost as there is no doubt he was sorely missed during the final stages of the Euro 2008 campaign,"
