Don't know that Sam would have done any better against these guys--except that with Sam's defensive mind set I could see us getting 1 point v. Blackburn with a 0-0 tie.

Could've/ should've been points here. Again, don't know that Sam would have given us different results.

So, are we in a different spot now then we would have been? No. Scoring hasn't happened for us all year.

Sack KK now? For whom? Folly. I'd only consider sacking KK this summer if Mourinho was a sure signing for us. Never understood why we didn't push for him (then again I never understood why Fat Fred didn't outbid City for SGE). Perhaps Mourinho's people made it clear that he wasn't interested in England--which would explain not letting Sam run out the season and sign Mourinho once he was contractually available in the summer.

I'm actually rather up beat. I think we've weathered the storm--well, not exactly weathered it, but it didn't kill us (thanks to the rubbish beneath us).

Up coming games against below the line Fulham and Reading as well as below us Mackems are must wins and winable.

Beat Birmingham and we are going to survive.

Add a point from spuds, perhaps, with some confidence a point from West Ham and we can finish out against Chelsea and Everton withou sweating.

We really do hold our destiny in our own boots.

When KK signs his style of players we will be good footballing team with pace. BSA was rubbish and that is why BSA has not been approached by any other team.

KK can not be sacked! Besides, Mourinho will be managing AC Milan or Barcelona next year-FACT.

Off topic a bit but I would love to see Mourinho at AC Milan. I would love him here, but this isn't his cup of tea. Keegan will be good in the end anyhow. But Mourinho with Kaka, Pirlo, Pato and then having Drogba and prob Lampard following him... that would be some team!

Well, Mourinho would also have to deal with a very old team-Kaka, Pirlo and Pato yes but also Maldini, Nesta and Seedorf. They're quality players but past it.

Word is that Mourinho's more keen on the Barcelona job in any case. Especially if the Rossoneri don't end up in a CL spot, which seems like a very real possibility.

Maldini is retired after this season so thats one off the list. Seedorf has been class when I have seen him this season so far, him and Kaka ran the midfield in all their games they had together. I think if Milan had Seedorf on the pitch against Arsenal we would see Milan in the next round. Nesta is slower but still smarter then most of the attacking players coming at him. Yes I agree they are older and they will be more injury prone and not have the pace they once did, but in the mid 30's I think these players are still top class I mean look at Del Piero for cryin out loud, he is signing a new contract and I remember watching him when I was like 5. Anyway I'm on a rant but I'm saying these players are still good enough and you think Mourinho wont attract top players to AC Milan? He would, he would be great at Milan. Barca to overrated in my book.

I don't disagree with most of what you say. I do think AC Milan has a rebuild on their hands. You mention Pato for example and while he looks brilliant at times, he looks lost at others.

I think Mourinho will be able to attract players, yes, but whether or not ACM is in the Champions' League makes a big difference. Given Juventus' quality and Fiorentina's form Milan may be left out.

I think Mourinho goes to Barca. Just my opinion.

Why is anyone making refernce in any form to a top quality manager on a newcastle united forum???
He would only go to a big club (the likes of AC and Barca etc...), the only thing big about our club is the stadium.

are we really going down that route again!!

Managers need time fans need patience judge KK at the end of next season not now or half way through next season
