IMPORTANT: FIxture Change Chelsea v Newcastle
By Tyne-Talk
April 10 2008
It would appear that Newcastle's game against Chelsea, currently scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 3rd May is set to change in a bid to enable SKY to show the game on Monday 5th May, at the later time of 4.05pm. A move which will obviously increase revenue for those invloved but will annoy many of the fans who travel to the matches religiously.
Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck told his audience at Stamford Bridge's "Star on a stool" night that he had had a meeting with the FA to discuss the move and it is looking likely.
He was responding to a question regarding the suspension of all ticket sales for the clash next month.
Fans in the crowd reacted angrily to the news and jeered Bruce after his announcement.
However, SKY are yet to announce the fixture change and NUFC.co.uk have made no announcement either.
Please bear in mind if you are travelling to the match on the Monday that it IS Bank Holiday Monday and transport may be limited compared to what it would have been on the Saturday.
Check www.skysports.co.uk or www.nufc.co.uk for confirmation of any changes
I'm going to be stuck on a boat in Norfolk then with no TV.
I go on the Sunday too so I could have watched it if the date hadn't of moved.

Our teams do get a but more rest BUT a real bummer for the fans (imagine Chelsea fans up the motorway, 600 odd mile round trip with all the Bank Holiday Monday traffic!
