Luton Fury As Orient Favour Toon Friendly

In light of Newcastle's friendly against Utrecht being cancelled, the club has arranged a game with League One side Leyton Orient much to the disgust of Luton Town FC. Newcastle will travel to The Matchroom Stadium on 25th July 2009 for a 3pm Kick Off.

Unfortunately Luton Town are less than impressed by this fixture as Leyton Orient have cancelled their pre-arranged match in favour of hosting the manager-less Magpies.

Newcastle fans have been allocated the East stand with tickets costing £15 available from 16th July 2009 at SJP.

D
irector of Luton Town, Antony Brown told the club site;

"We are extremely dissatisfied with Leyton Orient's approach. If we were in a similar situation under no circumstances would we have called off the game."

Leyton Orient have also postponed their club open day, due to take place on the 26th July to accommodate the match.

If we dont have a manager installed then this game is pointless, the players will just be going through the motions (Sm95)

You want games, but not this way, once again the toon are making us look like c@nts to other supporters and the media. We are giving them ammo to have another shot at us. The game isn't worth it

To be honest, I'd be pretty irritated if my pub team were snubbed in favor of NUFC right now. I guess they just want to get the freakshow into town...

They would, Barton would meet his match on the pitch with some of the thugs who play Sunday League, I would pay extra to watch that

Orient Will win. Mkandawire at the back. The Football league Rio Ferdinand. Two amazing goalkeepers, Morrim and Jones. Demetriou on the wing, full of energy sharp player. McGleish And Scowcroft up top will bully your weak defence. And Chorley will knock the @#$%& out of Barton
