Aston Villa midfielder Stephen Ireland has completed a 6 month loan deal taking him to Newcastle United until the end of the season. However, it is understood that there is no option within the deal to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
However, it has now been confirmed that the move has been made, but despite being out of favour at Villa, making just 13 appearances, he will be recalled at the end of the season once the 6 month deal is up.
Reports suggest Newcastle United are picking up 70% of Irelands wages (Approx £45k a week).
Earlier today it looked like the whole move was on the verge of collapse as it was reported the 24 year old had failed a medical.
However the latest reports state that due to complications during the medical, Newcastle have agreed to take Ireland regardless, providing that should he get injured or prove unfit during the deal, he can be sent back to Villa.
