Tomorrow's Post Match Lap Of Honour

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew, has said he is looking forward to tomorrow's post match lap of honour, after what will be the clubs final game of the season at St James' Park. The team will walk the pitch to thank the fans for their continued support throughout the season. It will also be an opportunity for the fans to applaud the players.

Pardew said in yesterday's press conference;

“We have a great set of players and we are going to go round that pitch at the end for the fans. As much as we have had a great season, so have our fans.

They have been behind us and have not given us a hard time in any home fixture. We hope to round off a great day with a win and a walk round the pitch.

We never got carried away with a win. We have analysed and gone through why we were beaten. The two days after the Wigan game were more important than the performance.

We needed honesty in terms of what happened, and how we would put it right. The answers we came up with were the reason we won at Chelsea.

We put it right. It is very rare to be able to do that.”
