Cabaye Tells French Players To Learn The Lingo

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has called for his french speaking colleagues to learn English whilst they are living and playing in the country. He told L'Equipe that it comes down to respect and that he and his elder colleagues will be on hand to help them out.

Cabaye said;

"We are in England, so it's logical to learn the language as quickly as possible.

The easiest way would be not to learn it, but that would be disrespectful. If ten Italian players came into a French club, we would like them to learn our language.

It's up to the elders like me, Sylvain Marveaux, Gabriel Obertan, Hatem Ben Arfa and Romain Amalfitano to fulfil our role and help our fellow countrymen to communicate with their team-mates."
