Nathan Tyson rescued a late point as Forest came from behind at Millwall, but the Reds could not seal a win despite a late surge. Meanwhile Reds hitman Junior Agogo bagged the winner as Ghana defeated Namibia in the African Nations Cup. Round-up here.

Former Forest forward Neil Harris opened the scoring against the run of play in the first half against Millwall, and looked destined for a second successive defeat as Jay Simpson made it two early in the first half.

But a late surge saw Chris Cohen gift Forest a lifeline, before Nathan Tyson buried a later equaliser to lift the Reds into the top two.

Junior Agogo, meanwhile, was 3,000 miles away in Ghana. Preparing for the home nation’s second game in the African Nations Cup.

The powerful forward buried the match winner shortly before half time, he had struck the post in the opening game of the tournament.

Colin Calderwood also confirmed that new goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson is to register as a player for the remainder of the season.

Youngsters Dale Roberts and Paddy Gamble are serving loan contracts, and Calderwood has asked Richardson, 38, to step in as cover.

The former Doncaster Rovers coach began his career at Sunderland, before moving on to busy spells at Scarborough, Northampton, Preston and Lincoln City.

 
He also had a spell with neighbours Mansfield Town, before finishing his career at Halifax and eventually Doncaster.

Richardson with wear the number 38 shirt, and hopefully that will top the number of minutes he has to spend on the pitch…
