Frankowski Scores On Home Debut

WOLVES FLOP Thomasz Frankowski showed tonight he still knows where the net is by scoring on his home debut for Tenerife in the Spanish First Division.

The Wolves striker was shipped out on a seasons-long loan by Wolves boss Mick McCarthy after failing to impress since his £1.2M move from Spanish side Elche in January of this year.

The 32 year old came to Wolves on the back of a superb goal scoring record. Frankowski has made 17 starts for Poland and has scored 10 goals and as a result finished the leading scorer in the same World Cup qualifying group as England.

However following 12 starts for Wolves last season the front man failed to hit the net and as a result was omitted from his countries World Cup squad, causing uproar in his home country of Poland.

However Frankowski will be happy again tonight after scoring the first goal in his sides 3-2 win over Hurcules. Frankowski scored on the stroke of half-time during his debut and will now look to earn a permanent contract away in Tenerife.
