again, we haven't really turned up, afobe too isolated up front. lets hope the 2nd half is a lot better. we need to up the tempo

It just confirms what we already know, anyone can beat anyone with league positions /curses/ head to head records meaning nothing.

Sounds a pretty dire match up to now. Substitutions haven't really worked, as we're now playing the same formation as City, which we're not used to playing (apparently!!)
For some reason Holt is being played in the No. 10 role with Le Fondre up front, but Thommo thinks it would be more sense the other way round. Coady not having a very good night.

Win one, lose two, draw one ... That will be the pattern for the season I reckon .

Matt Doherty on for Coady. To be honest i struggle to follow the formations being played. Seemingly Henry will now go up the middle for a more attacking line-up. . Ex Wolves lad Mark Little comes on for City alongside Elliot Bennet.

I feel sorry for Ivybridge. He always looks forward to attending this match, and we sound to have been dire this evening. Second to the ball and totally lacking ideas or skill.

All over City 1 Wolves 0. A poor match to sit & listen to. God alone knows what Burnley will do to us on Saturday!! We're devoid of ideas and skill and i really don't think KJ knows what to do next. He brought Ojo on Sat who made a goal;scoring impact. Tonight he sat on the bench all night!!

Even robin hood would have been ashamed of stealing the money from those paying to watch this tripe. Ivy won't be happy having trekked up there.. I expected us to get at least a draw but with wolves no real shock we contrive to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory at every available opportunity.

absolutely useless, we've been all over the place,terrible changes and taticks for the 2nd half, i hate to say it but were getting worse

A bizarre sub to bring on a full back for a midfielder when needing a goal just about summed our performance up - a waste of a evening.

It wasn't Thelwell or Moxey or Morgan that picked the team. They didn't make the ridiculous substitutions. Nor did they change the formation to mirror the opposition.

We've just been beaten by an awful side that's just been thrashed, at home, by a side that we beat at their place, Fulham.

Say what you want about anybody capable of beating anyone, but this shouldn't be happening. At some point you have to agree that the head coach must shoulder his fair share of the blame?

I didn't see the game and neither did you unless you are posting from the ground or watching from some illegal stream somewhere so can't specify what we did or didn't do tactically. The substitution was bizarre but why shouldn't we mirror formation as you imply we should have more quality than Bristol so wouldn't that apparent superior quality shine through with an identical formation ?

You say "an awful team that's just been thrashed at home" but what relevance has that got in a sport where as I said previously anyone can beat anyone on a given day. This "awful team" won away to Middlesbrough so I assume that shouldn't be happening either. Atletico Madrid tonight failed to beat a far inferior team in the champions league, Chelsea have lost to west ham this season, united to Swansea etc so of course it should be happening and does in every league in the world. Bristol have also spent over 2 million on one player this season yet this awful team should just roll over to our squad?

Our wage/ transfer budget is pretty much allied to our league position so what's the problem ? I believe we have enough quality to avoid relegation and that should be Jacketts mandate this season so regardless of some bizarre substitutions why should he be sacked from achieving what is the basic requisite for a club of our means? I expect us to finish above Bristol at the end of 46 games which is all that really matters.. it's tedious boredom of realistic expectations but reality despite people fooling themselves we are better equipped as a football club than what we are.

Some very poor Wolves tactics tonight, poor and bizarre subs and a team bereft of ideas who looked like they'd just been out for a big pub dinner washed down several pints.

Simply not good enough. Pete will love this but Jackett made some extremely poor decisions tonight. He certainly shoulders a large piece of the blame tonight.

Look forward to the report Ivy. Initially sums up what was said earlier with regards to the championship.. wretched teams kicking a ball around until due to the randomness of football one scores.

It also supports the suggestion that the head coach is running out of ideas.

I wasn't there tonight. I only listened in, like others. But none of Ivy's paint a different description of what played out.

No, avoiding relegation this season simply isn't good enough. My expectations aren't too heady in believing that with this squad we should be finishing above halfway.

There are many things wrong with our club, and most of them lie with owner and the structure and investment strategy. But simply burying our heads in the sand and dissolving the head coach and his team of any responsibility for how poorly the playing staff perform isn't right either.

He has done brilliantly in picking us up, getting the lads promoted, and finishing 7th last season. I'm not taking any of that away from him. But these results, these performances are fast becoming the standard, and that isn't healthy.

Angry, I respect your resolve and loyalty towards KJ. But even you have to recognise that he's running out of ideas, and team selections are reflecting this?

I am worried that this isn't far away from another potential relegation campaign. Heaven forbid we were to lose another defender or an Afobe to injury - out of KJ's control I agree - if that happened, we'd be right in the "Sandwell Town"!

I wasn't at the game so cant comment on specifics. I have read a few online thoughts and opinions and look forward to yours. Anyway the bit that i have highlighted of yours just reiterates my views in the Jackett out thread. We all know that there are problems behind the scenes and off the pitch but Jackett cant be using them as an excuse all the time and nor can we. There have been cases already before this match where Jacketts in game management was poor and without being there this seems another example of this.

We're a club expected to finish between 10th and 20th correlating to finances invested in the first team yet in 14th after some poor managerial decisions coupled by decent ones that we saw last week at St Andrews people want the manager sacked.

We're a club without an owner who clearly wont be making any incoming player purchases yet by some miracle of witchcraft a prospective manager will accept not being able to bring any of his own players in, subsequently working within the scraps of capital we may have for the odd loan.

We have a squad composed of league 1/ league 2 signings added to these so called star players that should be doing better apparently according to some

afobe : a striker with 4 goals in 40 championship appearances before last year whose value is based solely on a few months with us last season and the tail end of a season with MK dons. A player that is perhaps now beginning to get found out from this "wonder striker" many claim

McDonald : signed from the third tier of English football with no experience of anything at a higher level before joining us

Le Fondre : Cardiff city reject

Holt : geriatric 3rd division reserve

Ojo: teenage bum that helped relegate wigan to the third tier last season

Byrne / Coady : lower league bargain basement signings

Batth : Turns slower than the Qe2

We are expected to believe a manager who knows he cant sign a sausage will suddenly decide to come here , get this squad higher than mid table in order to satisfy the naïve few that think this constitutes a decent squad and take us on to the "next level" knowing he is likely to get sacked whenever a new owner arrives with his own ideas. Great logic .... infact poirot/ Miss marple and Sherlock holmes would all be standing up in unison screaming one prophetic word to sum this intellectual reasoning out. BRAVO

I agree with most of what you say, angry. However, look at what Rowett has achieved at Blues with an even bigger 'shower of shi. te

You say that Lawndog but they are only 7 points ahead of us in a 46 game season with no real evidence they will finish above us in May. Jackett isn't immune from criticism even taking into account our circumstances but the tipping point for me would represent a likelihood of a return to league 1 rather than a possibility which is the case for most of the division below the top 6.

Managers have to be judged with what they have to work with rather than what we hope or expect a club to achieve and the environment of the club transcending down from the boardroom budget which has been done to death , to our sh1tty academy who claims to be ambitious employing coaches like Iwelumo walking out after a few days with no experience is cheap and nasty from top to bottom. The club reeks of failure with Jackett being the best of a bad bunch by some distance in my view. If of course he was working under better conditions and we lost to the like of Bristol City who even within their meagre means have a net spend last summer of 2.5 million contrary to our 500 grand then I'd be the first to say sack him. I'm not a member of the jackett fan club but recognise the futility of getting rid of a manager unlikely to see us relegated despite being poor relations to most of the division
