Coppell And Hoddle On Wolves Win Over Reading

GLENN Hoddle was delighted with his sides 2-1 win over Reading and during his post-match interview, he also had a promise for the fans.

On The Game:

"At half-time I said that we had to just keep going, and perhaps the lads at the back had to improve the way they were dealing with Kitson, but otherwise we were doing everything right. If I'm honest then I think we deserved to win by more than 2-1 today, but it was not to be."

  "The midfield was terrific. I thought Seyi, Rohan and Cams were superb and they did exactly as I wanted, in dominating play in their area. Seyi in particular was outstanding. I said that they'd have to do something to stop him or he was going to run the show, and he was allowed the freedom to play the ball well. Rohan also was terrific and he took his goal well."

On His Future:

"This is a big club and talks have already started," Hoddle admitted to wow.

 "There are matters that we need to talk about, including adding to the squad. The fan base is superb, they turn up in their thousands every week and they were great again today, the stadium is good, and the training base is almost there, so there are plenty of plus points and I have enjoyed working at the club."

  "There are no problems that I can see, but there are a few things that we need to clear up and then, hopefully, something positive can come out of it. Talks have already been brought forward and so any of these suggestions that I am holding out for whatever else are ridiculous."

  "I promise the club and the fans that it won't drag on"

Reading Boss Steve Coppell:

"If they keep hold of Glenn I see them as favourites to go up next season. At 1-1 I wanted to win the game because one point would not materially affect what happens next week.

"But they always had a spare man in midfield. They had a lot of possession and their passing was good."
