GLENN Hoddles transfer plans may have been dealt a blow with the news that Arsenal striker Robin van Persie had been arrested in Holland on suspicion of rape.
It's believed that the Wolves boss was planning a swoop for Arsenal's young Striker Jeremie Aliadiere over the summer, but the deal may have been dealt a blow with the news that Arsenal striker Robin van Persie had been arrested in Holland on suspicion of rape.
Wolves were close to completing a loan deal for the French star last season but it's believed Hoddle was expecting to land his man in time for the start of next season, but Mondays revelation that van Persie was being held in Holland may force Wenger to keep hold of Aliadiere.
Hoddle is still looking for four more players after bagging Rohan Ricketts and Celtic Star Jackie McNamara on free transfers.
