Tough start to the season for Wolves

WOLVES Boss Glenn Hoddle has called it "ironic" that Wolves start the 2005/06 season at Southampton. Crystal Palace are the first side to visit Wolverhampton before Hull make the trip to Molineux.

Wolves start the 2005/06 season away at Southampton in a game which already looks set to be chosen by SKY TV.

The fixture see's Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle make a return to Southampton and the current Wolves boss is in no doubts that the start of the season will be a tough one.

"It's a tough start against two teams who - along with ourselves and Norwich - are favourites to win promotion." Hoddle told the clubs official website.

  "It's Ironic to say the least that the opening game is at Southampton, but it's not about individuals, it's about taking a team there to get a result."

The fixtures have fallen in a way which see's Wolves play their first and last matches away from Home, with a tough trip to Norwich completing the season.
