Great news for Vio and George

ROMANIAN International Vio Ganea and George Ndah played 90 and 66 minutes respectively at Nuneaton on Monday night, however neither striker will be fit for Saturdays opener against Southampton.

The hugely popular Romanian International missed the whole of last season with cruciate knee ligament damage but appears to be on the mend after playing 90 minutes in a reserve team friendly away at Nuneaton on Monday evening.

Ganea who has an emphatic scoring record - and also knocked England out of Euro 2000 with a last minute penalty - is hoping to play a much bigger role this season than last.

And the same goes for Geoge Ndah who played 66 minutes after missing the last TWO YEARS through various injuries. The Wolves striker who famously scored two goals against rivals West Brom and scored an incredible goal away at Preston North End when he ran the length of the pitch to score, has not played since the Play Off first leg against Reading back in May 2003.

Neither player will be available for action on Saturday but baring no last minute problems, Hoddle will still have strikers Kenny Miller, Carl Cort and Leon Clarke to call upon.

Henri Camara will not feature and appears to have no future at the club.
