Crewe boss, Dario Gradi feels that his sides 1-1 draw with the Bluebirds on Saturday was a fair result for both sides. Over 9,000 were at Gresty Road to see the draw as Crewe celebrated promotion to the First Division.

“There was no drama, it was a pleasant afternoon’s football. Both sides should be happy with a point, it was a nice way to end the season, said Gradi. “Many of our fans were on the pitch at the end, but nobody minded that – thousands of feet jumping up and down on the surface will probably improve it.” The draw took Crewe to 86 points, 14 points behind champions, Wigan Athletic who secured a century of points after a 1-0 victory over Barnsley.
