| Rumours are circulating that scouts
from Arsenal were at Ninian Park yesterday to watch City's Welsh
international Daniel Gabbidon. Since joining the Bluebirds from West Bromwich Albion for £800,000 back in 2000, the defender has earned a reputation as one of the best young defenders in Britain, and has attracted interest from several top clubs. City owner Sam Hammam has always been adamant that he would not sell his prize asset unless a bid from one of the 'big clubs' came in, as he could not deny a player to play for such a club. Arsenal would come under that bracket, and although this is all only speculation, a bid from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger would come as no great surprise to the Ninian Park faithful. The Welsh international has already established himself a place as a regular in Mark Hughes' Wales side, and would surely relish the chance to play at the highest level and in Europe at Arsenal. |
