Three points!

After recent games where Cardiff have thrown away winning situations the reverse happened at Ninian Park on Tuesday night. An early headed goal by Michael Ricketts was held onto despite furious very late pressure from the visitors...
Watched by another paltry attendance of 9,196 Cardiff City bagged all three points in the first of three consecutive home matches. A disallowed goal and some woeful close range finishing from the visitors helped the cause, but a win is a win and it sets up the visit of Crystal Palace very nicely.
The crowd last night was 4,000 short of what we are lead to believe is the "breakeven" figure so we must still be losing money. The novelty of Championship football has well and truly worn off, and to be fair last night the stay away fans didn't miss much apart from the first fifteen and last five minutes.
On loan striker Michael Ricketts is beginning to form a good relationship with Camerone Jerome and his goal was well taken in front of the sparsley Grange End and that was sufficient.....
