Stoke City visit Cardiff City on Saturday trying to get their season back on song, but they face a tough task against the highflying Bluebirds who thrashed them 3-0 earlier this season at The Britannia Stadium.

Missed by many fans but midfield maestro Jason Koumas was booked last Saturday and is banned for Saturdays match v Stoke City. Paul Parry and Glen Loovens are still not 100% fit and will miss out.

Cardiff City manager David Jones has stated that Steve Thompson will also be missing following an operation on his finger, he damaged nerves cutting an apple!! If he had used his teeth we'd not be missing him now..

This could mean a start for "Dave" - the name seems to be sticking, for those of us who can't pronounce Guylain Ndumbu Nsungu. It would be nice to see how he fares over 90 minutes. I'm sure there are players with worse nicknames in the league. Good luck to Guy - that's close enough for me.

Jones will pick from - Alexander, Ardley, Purse, Cox, Barker, Cooper, Scimeca, Whitley, Boland, Ledley, Ndumbu Nsungu, Jerome, Weston, Darlington, Mulryne, Ferretti and Margetson.

With rugby on the TV the crowd will be interesting, Stoke City should bring 500+ to swell the numbers as they will be hoping to put our three nil win to bed from earlier in the season.

Long standing servant and kit man Harry Parsons will get a well deserved send off, with a minutes applause to mark his recent death. RIP "H"....
