Man United are said to be keeping tabs on Spurs wonder-kid Simon Davies. The former Peterborough man has so far, had an oustanding season for both club and country and is starting to catch the eye of onlookers, in particular United.

United originally tried to capture Davies and Etherington from Peterborough but the offer of reserve football did not appeal to them and they opted for Spurs where they were told first team football was a distinct possibility.

Since his current media attention Davies has remained adament that he is happy to stay and play for Spurs but an offer from the club he loved as a boy at this stage in his career may be hard for him to turn down, especially if offered first team action. It will be an anxious wait till the transfer window re-opens in January for Spurs fans who pin-point Davies as a key figure in thier 'revival'.
