Caernarfon Chief Quits

Geraint Lloyd Owen has stepped down as chairman of Caernarfon Town, after nine years at the healm. Director George Denham takes over the role, with Owen remaining a director.

His resignation comes after increasing calls for him to step down after poor results and dwindling attendances, as the 'cofis' occupy a disappointing 15th position, just 1 point above the relegation zone.

Owen was responsible for taking the club into the League of Wales after resisting the move for several years playing in exile in the Unibond League in the north of England.
