Impressive Motherwell were too strong for East Fife with man-of-the-moment James McFadden pulling all the strings for the Steelmen helping his side to a 2-0 victory. It could have been all so different if 'well keeper Stevie Woods hadn't made a world-class save at 0-0...
East Fife were quite easily beaten by the bouyant SPL side which included, on-loan Spurs striker, Steve Ferguson.
The home side did however create a few half-chances, showed some decent football in short spells and were by no means disgraced.
Although, playing a much higher class of opposition, East Fife, as against Stirling, did not play well.
At least the future looks a bit brighter for Scotland as the East Fife supporters witnessed the nation's great young hope in McFadden, who for me proved he is the 'real deal' with a superb performance.
