Fortune the key to Baggies push for survival

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray believes that there is more to come from onloan striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, and today flagged him as a key part of Albion's push for Premiership survival. Bottom club West Bromwich Albion meet Fulham this weekend, in a true bottom of the table style clash. Both sides will be scrapping for vital points, but Mowbray believes Fortune holds just the kick they need.

He has made just four appearances for West Bromwich Albion since his January loan move.  But that hasn't stopped the 27 year old striker bagging three goals already, two of those coming against Newcastle United in the disappointing 3-2 defeat nearly a fortnight ago.

Mowbray believes that the striker's own self belief will have a positive outcome on the rest of his team mates.  The gaffer praised his onloan star for having great technical ability and unselfish attitude.

But he also stressed the importance of goals for a strikers confidence, adding that his lack of goals at French club Nancy doesn't worry him in the slightest after making such a great start at the Hawthorns.
