Jonathon Greenings attempt to get his Red Card from the Aston villa match on Sunday was rejected by the FA. Greening was sent of along with Aston Villa’s Liam Ridgewell for Violent Conduct when both players squared up to each other in the 2nd half of the Derby at Villa Park.
The FA reviewed the video evidence of the sending off and came to the conclusion that the straight red card was deserved and Greening will have to do the 3 match ban.
The ban means that Greening will miss the away trip to the riverside to face his old club Middlesbrough along with trips to Tottenham and a home game against Blackburn Rovers
